Student Sessions welcomes Phillip Knightley, twice British Journalist of the Year, to talk on:

'Adventures in Journalism: Tall Tales and True Scoops'

Known best for two main professional interests: war reporting & propaganda, and espionage, in more than 30 years of reportage Knightley has met spy chiefs working for many of the major intelligence services.

Knightley has lectured on journalism, law and war at the National Press Club, the Senate, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst.

A special correspondent for The Sunday Times for 20 years (1965-85) and one of the leaders of its Insight investigative team, Knightley was twice named Journalist of the Year (1980 and 1988) in the British Press Awards. He and John Pilger are the only journalists ever to have won it twice.

There will be time for questions at the end; a chance to test out your own views on Knightley's approach to journalism.
