The Way Out
The Sun kindly informed me of this amazing news that I guess most of the smiths's readers benefitted from this tuesday at the Pound a Pint in the Union: "JORDAN has reduced the cost of her online fan club membership from 3 to 2 pounds, as she said she wants to “help her fans during the recession”. I know her autobiography is also on sale in various bookshops, so off you go.
And while Jordan helped out her fans, another sizeable organism, China, also has to come up with a proposal to save the economy. Interestingly, according to the Telegraph, this was what the Chinese authorities came up with: "Local government officials in China have been ordered to smoke nearly a quarter of a million packs of cigarettes in a move to boost the local economy during the global financial crisis." And even the "Local authorities in Gong'an county are taking the cigarette quota seriously and have established a "special taskforce" to enforce it".
Somebody please tell Mr. Brown about this idea.
